On the following screen you will have to browse to the location of Medieval II which will be within your steam folder. Once I did this the Wine App worked fineħ.) You will then have the 4.5 installer running and you will be prompted to hit next. My computer was unable to verify the developer so I had to manually override it in the settings app when I was prompted to. You can just hit Go here to get it to run. Ħ.) Now go to your unzipped DaCV4.5 folder and Open DaCV4.5.exe with Wine, you may have to select this from your applications to get it to run. I recommend having the Unarchiver App as this makes unzipping everything easierĥ.) Download the Development Version of WineBottler and follow the instructions to add it to your applications. Ĥ.) Unzip the file and place it in a folder on your desktop, keep all of the 5 files together. To make this work you need to be in one of the past versions, preferably OS High Sierra or OS Mojave.Ģ.) I recommend downloading the Definitive edition of Medieval II from steam as that seems to be the easiest.ģ.) Once you have Medieval II installed you can Download DaC from Moddb version 4.5 which is here. This took a long time to figure out so here it goes.ġ.) You need to make sure that you are not upgraded to os catalina as there are a bunch of issues with it. I myself have been unable to get the campaign to start so I will probably just get a gaming computer in a few months with windows and play it then.īefore you begin I recommend watching the Install video for Windows as this will give you a good idea of what to expect. *I have seen a lot of people post that they are unable to actually get the campaign map to load.
